Considering Beyoncé was reportedly paid up to US$24 million for the one-hour performance at the luxury resort, according to multiple reports, she could afford to look like a million bucks on the red carpet. And indeed she did.

Even before she sang a note, the singer stole the show in a gilded bronze Dolce & Gabbana dress and leg-climbing sandal heels at a photo call ahead of her exclusive performance.

For accessories, she donned custom silver chandelier Messika earrings in an asymmetrical style, designed by Valérie Messika, proudly touted by the brand in a doubtless lucrative Instagram post.

Championing local designers

For the show itself, Beyoncé opted for stage outfits created by a variety of designers, mostly from the Middle East.

She took to the stage wearing a yellow custom canary corset-style gown, topped with feathers, designed specially for the occasion by Dubai house Atelier Zuhra.

Her second look was a red gown topped with gold sequin detailing and embellished sleeves by Lebanese designer Nicolas Jebran, per UAE broadsheet The National.

For Beyoncé’s third and final look on stage, she donned a pink and gold sequin bodice with matching boots and gloves by Ukrainian designer Frolov.

It wasn’t just Dubai’s elite that got treated to the private show – celebrities also flocked to Atlantis The Royal for the exclusive event.

The spectacular venue

It’s not every day Beyoncé puts on a private performance dripping in designer gear, so it goes without saying it was a big night for a highly anticipated hotel opening.

Located on the Palm Jumeirah next door to the brand’s flagship Atlantis, The Palm, Dubai’s new Atlantis The Royal spans across 63 hectares and boasts 795 rooms and suites, with 90 swimming pools and plenty of hospitality venues.

The resort is also set to be one of Dubai’s top new dining destinations, housing 17 restaurants on the property, including Dinner by Heston Blumenthal, Hakkasan and Ariana’s Persian Kitchen.
