The Hong Kong Golf Association wants to add a junior tournament to the National Games when the city co-hosts China’s biggest multi-sport occasion in 2025.
Although officials have not yet announced where events will be held, golf is almost certain to be located in Hong Kong, which is staging the Games with Guangdong and Macau.
Danny Lai Yee-june, the association’s CEO, said they had agreed to the inclusion of a junior category with their counterparts across the border.

Fifa has stripped Indonesia of the right to stage this year’s Under-20 World Cup, over what an Indonesian official said was a failure to honour its commitments to the tournament.
The decision to stop Indonesia holding the event, which was scheduled to being on May 20, was taken after the country’s football federation (PSSI) said it had cancelled the draw because the governor of the largely Hindu island of Bali refused to host Israel’s team.
