Bodybuilder Lisa Lyon, who famously posed for Playboy in the 80s is said to be in ‘grave condition’ as she suffers from pancreatic cancer.
The former model, who is said to be around 70 years of age, is believed to have inspired the Marvel Comics character Elektra. The fictional character was played by Jennifer Garner in the 2005 movie titled ‘Elektra’.

The former Playboy star is currently ‘in a grave condition’ suffering from pancreatic cancer, TMZ reports. The publication states that she was recently transferred to hospice care in L.A.’s San Fernando Valley.
Hollywood actor, Arnold Schwarzenegger spoke to the publication about his friend Lyon, as he expressed: “She is the best. I love her.”
The two famously posed together in 1979, whereby the Terminator actor sat on Lisa’s shoulders in an iconic black and white photograph.
Lisa promoted Women’s Bodybuilding worldwide
The bodybuilder was praised for being a pioneer in the sport through magazines, TV shows, and her own book, Lisa Lyon’s Body Magic, which was published in 1981.
Although her bodybuilding career was short, it was highly successful, winning the first International Federation of Bodybuilders Woman’s World Pro Bodybuilding Championship in 1979.
Being one of the only females in the sport at the time, the star was snapped by Playboy and photographer, Robert Mapplethorpe, who also shot for Andy Warhol.
As well as modeling and bodybuilding, after her Playboy stint, Lisa also appeared in a number of movies including Three Crowns of The Sailor and Vamp.
