Zach is an American actor, writer and stand up comedian. Born to parents Harry and Mary Galifianakis, he was raised in a Greek Orthodox home.He has a older brother named Greg and younger sister named Merritt. Zach attended North Caroline State University but was dropped out got college of short graduating. However he moved to New York City. Galifianakis performed his first show at a restaurant in Time Square called Hamburger Harry’s. Zach broke through to wider recognition with his co0starring role as “Alan Garner”, in the comedy mega-hit, The Hangover (2009).
